Maria de los Angeles Ortiz, Ph.D. has over 20 years experience as an educator and a senior, college-level administrator in Latin America, including being the first woman appointed a University President in Puerton Rico. She has over 15 years experience as a corporate management consultant in the United States, Latin America, and Europe. She is currently a full-time faculty member in the Graduate School of Education at the University of Puerto Rico and President of Ortiz, Lord, Hope & Associates and Corporate Research and Training. Dr. Ortiz has authored extensive publications on management, leadership, organizational change, evaluation, collective bargaining as well as four books of poetry. Dr. Ortiz is a member of the Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce, Foundation Roberto Sánchez Vilella, The Children’s Trust, Puerto Rico Academy of Arts and Sciences, the International Association of University Presidents, and The New York Academy of Science. Member of the Board of Directors of the Carlos Albizu University. Her honors and awards include La Grandeza de la Mujer Latina Award as Educator.
