Charles Lattimer is CEO and Founder of the Virginia Tech Cooperative Leadership Institute, a Strategic Initiatives partner organization. He has positioned VTCLI as a recognized leader in the field of embedded leadership programs. Embedded leadership development activities are fully fused into everyday working life, tailored to the competencies needed for success in particular organizational cultures. His services include co-creating information systems, support mechanisms, and organizational cultures necessary for embedded leadership development.
Mr. Lattimer has served as the President and CEO of Opus Multimedia, Inc., a software development company focused on the hospitality and tourism industry. Opus developed academic and industry consortia, including the Hospitality Industry Training Systems (HITS), which aggregated university-level content and training resources and attracted top-tier university partners such as Virginia Tech, the University of Delaware, University of Houston, University of Surrey (UK), and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Mr. Lattimer also served as partner with ConTech LLC, where he developed and internationally distributed software training and marketing programs. He also consults in the areas of learning technology, e-commerce strategy, organizational leadership, and arts management and administration. As a board member of Michael Rohd’s Portland-based Sojourn Theatre, he has been actively involved in community-engaged fundraising, partnership, and development campaigns.
Charles earned a BA in Theatre Arts and an MA in English from Virginia Tech and was granted lifetime memberships in Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi.
