Dr. Byyny is recognized as distinguished leader in American higher education, medical education, and effective medical clinical practice. His career as an academic and administrative leader have spanned over 40 years, including service as Chancellor of the University of Colorado at Boulder from 1997-2005 and a continuing career as a medical researcher and clinician. He is broadly experienced in a broad array of heath care and medical practice issue including electronic medical records and other technology applications to health.

Dr. Byyny’s experience and insights make him the key member of Strategic Initiatives’ team. He has an active and continuing record of scholarship and has hands-on experience with many technological innovations in health care, including the Veterans Administration’s electronic health records system. Dr. Byyny is also key to our efforts to support the development of leading edge medical facilities and practices in the Greater Gulf Cooperative Region.
